The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a 2011 mystery thriller. Journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) is hired to investigate the disappearance of a girl who went missing over 40 years ago. In his investigation he is aided by the gifted but socially incompetent computer hacker Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara). The film is a remake of the Swedish film of the same name. Both of these films are based on the novel The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.

SIG-Sauer P228

Martin Vanger (Stellan Skarsgård) keeps a SIG-Sauer P228 for his home protection. He uses it near the end of the film. Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara) later takes the gun before pursuing him. In the book, Martin's pistol was an unidentified Glock model.

Gun cabinet

Three rifles can briefly be seen in Vanger's guncase when Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) is searching Vanger's house. The one to the left could possibly be a milspec Swedish Mauser 96 (not implausible since the movie takes place in Sweden). The center rifle and the third rifle to the right both appear to be bolt action sporters.
