The Fugitives (original title Les fugitifs) is a 1986 French criminal comedy directed by Francis Veber and starring Pierre Richard and Gérard Depardieu. This film continues a series of Veber's movies with comedy duo Richard-Depardieu, started with The Goat (La chèvre) (1981).
Les fugitifs was remade by the same director in 1989 as Three Fugitives, starring Martin Short and Nick Nolte.

In the scene in orphanage the policewoman (Yveline Ailhaud) is armed with a snub nose revolver that appears to be an MR-73 with 2.5" barrel. After she drops it, Pignon (Pierre Richard) takes the revolver.
