Incorrect Lebel Picture

The one picture in the Lebel section, where it is firing towards the camera, isn't a Lebel. Look at the soldier's helmet, he is clearly a German soldier. In the Gewehr 98 section, it even mentions that some of the Gewehr 98s had scope attachments. A scope is clearly attached to the supposed Lebel. But the biggest give-away is the fact that it is being fired by a German soldier.

LMG08/15

I think this could almost be classed as two quite distinct variants derived from the original, ground pattern MG08 heavy mg. Firstly, as a ground use light mg, the lMG08/15 was developed (lower case 'l', standing for 'leicht' - light) with a lightened/cut down receiver, pistol grip and buttstock added, and smaller diameter water jacket. One of these is being used as a flexible gun, but with a ventilated jacket to allow air cooling (which I'm not sure is authentic). Secondly, as a fixed, synchronised aircraft gun was the LMG08/15 (capital 'L', standing for 'luftgekuhlt' - aircooled) which had the same cut down receiver, a ventilated barrel jacket, but clearly had no need for the stock or pistol grip. Anti-aircraft gun

When the Germans first spot the French aircraft, they fire anti-aircraft guns at it.
