Dollhouse Joss Whedon . The show follows people called "Actives", who are rented out by a Dollhouse to wealthy clients for various purposes and needs. Actives can be programmed with various personalities and skillsets. Eliza Dushku stars as an Active called Echo. The show aired for two seasons from 2009 until 2010.

Pistols SIG-Sauer P229 FBI Special Agent Paul Ballard (Tahmoh Penikett ) carries a SIG-Sauer P229 as his sidearm in throughout the first season, though he is never seen firing it on screen. Echo (Eliza Dushku ) also uses Agent Ballard's own SIG-Sauer P229 on him in "Man on the Street" (S01E06). It is also favoured by many of the Rossum security guards throughout Season 2, with Paul Ballard continuing to carry it in Season 2, though he still never fires it.
