This article should be deleted being that it is a documentary. --AdAstra2009 22:49, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

I wouldn't say that. It's a British variety show that focuses on equal aspects entertainment and humor, but also factual information concerning the cars. If you've seen the show you'll know what I'm talking about, it really is the farthest thing from a documentary. -- K 98.118.59.151 22:54, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

even then so it is a nonfictional item, so it falls out of the scope of IMFDB. --AdAstra2009 17:01, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
If that's the case, then all these pages need to be deleted as well. The Wierd It 17:19, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

That is correct --AdAstra2009 17:31, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

TV Tropes

I was looking through the Imperial Storm Trooper Marksmanship Academy section and found this mentioned. "A Series 13 episode of Top Gear saw the British Armed Forces firing at a stationary Mitsubishi Evo 7 from only a few hundred yards away with machine guns, missing the majority of the time. The tracer rounds that went astray were enough to light parts of the surrounding area on fire." Is this a valid criticism? Or is that about all the accuracy you could expect form L7's and Browning M2's? Pravda616 16:59 22/2/11

Here is the video of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAPRTAksr2w . When they are actually shooting at the stationary Evo, they seem to have pretty good accuracy, but the whole thing is staged, and I imagine that the majority of the tracers are added in post, particularly when it is being driven around the firing zone. --commando552 11:13, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Based on the general look of it and that mold line along the top of the nearest gun's handguard: airsoft guns? Evil Tim 05:20, 25 July 2011 (CDT)

Interceptors

What about the firearms that appear in their mock 70's-detective show opening sequence titled "The Interceptors". They use, as far as I can tell, a Walther, a Luger, a Sten and a Colt Detective Special.

At one point a baddie is shown using a P38 as well, although it locks back after the first shot, but post editting showed it shooting again, ie muzzle flash, although this may have been somewhat deliberate as the whole sequence was spoofing 70's cop shows.
Jeremy or Jason Clarkson's "signature" weapon is a Walther P38, and James or James Steed's "signature" weapon is a Sten Sub Machine Gun, Richard or Roger St. Hammond's signature weapon was his hands, as hes a "karate master".

Albania Special

During the Albania Special, the guys "rob" a bank, and come out with handguns. I have a capture from the episode and it seems to be a Tokarev TT-33, but im not entirely sure.

Considering where they were and what they were doing, i think its reasonable to assume its a Tokarev.

Screen Cap from Episode 16x03

the location of the rear sight and the shape of the trigger seem to suggest it.

Jeremy shooting cars

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAiXRKQffQ0

Jeremy was seen firing an Over and Under Shotgun, a SPAS-12 shotgun, an unknown General Purpose machine gun and a Carl Gustav Recoiless Rifle.

The GPMG is the L7 GPMG, the British version of the FN MAG. It is in the fire-support set up, mounted on a tripod and with the stock removed. Is this clip actually from Top Gear, or is it from one of Jeremy Clarkson's DVDs? Spanner

Missing Firearms

In the Car Biathlon, didn't James use a .22 slide action rifle (the one used in the Olympics) plus, Clarkson and May did seem to use a Remington Extended tube in the Polar Special, well May didn't use it but only bluff by cocking the shotgun. Yet, Clarkson did indeed however use it to destroy the Spam (food). Also, I have noticed in the East U.S Special, there was a Glock, I believe it's either a Glock 17 or a Glock 19, I know for sure it has to be a 9mm. but it hasn't been used. Repoman

New Episodes

This article's out of date, so I'm working on screencapping new episodes starting with the Africa Special in series 19. It would be appreciated if some folks could join me; I trust you can all find the episodes online fine. Chitoryu12 (talk) 07:34, 12 April 2013 (EDT)

Burma Special

In the Burma Special, several soldiers were seen wielding AK and M16 assault rifles, plus one of the soldiers was seen with a pistol possibly a Browning Hi-Power or SIG Saucer P226 in his holster. --Btgr (talk) 06:49, 18 June 2014 (EDT)
