- They actually do point it out in Blood Work. I had never heard of the 627 before I saw it, and was almost certain that one of the script writers had botched up when Clint said "eight shot Smith & Wesson". But yes, ammo capacity is usually dependent on the same thing that a character's intelligence, vehicle, and computer all run on; a 1:1 solution of plot and applied Phlebotinum.--PistolJunkie 00:28, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

I was watching the newer hitcher movie and saw some behind the scenes stuff. i think the 4" 686 used is the plus model. in a deleted scene you can see the locking notches aren't above the cylinders and what looks like 7 chambers. just to let you guys know. this is my first post on this site. sorry if there are any issues in posting and not having an account currently. 1/11/2011
