At first I thought that Major Dillon also uses a Victory Model, but then in one shot he had in his hand for me unknown type of revolver ... help anyone recognize it?--Pandolfini (talk) 04:53, 16 October 2012 (EDT)

Maybe some version of Webley Bulldog but I'm not sure. Greg-Z (talk) 12:06, 16 October 2012 (EDT)It is similary, but this has a square barrel ...Thx.--Pandolfini (talk) 14:23, 16 October 2012 (EDT)

There appears to be two types of revolver used in this film by the ‘heroes’. The first appears to be a Colt Pocket Positive, which is shown on the main page and seems to be used in the scenes were revolvers are fired. The second shown in the screencap above appears to be a Harrington & Richardson ‘American’. This has the octagonal barrel and loading groove as visible in the above image. I’ve attached a link below. I recently watched this film and I noticed that a Dutch resistance fighter is using what looks like an early Thompson. I couldn’t get a decent quality screencap but when watching the film the top mounted bolt actuator is apparent, which identifies it as an early model (circled in pic below).
