The Hunted is a 2003 action thriller directed by William Friedkin (The French Connection) and stars Benicio del Toro as Aaron Hallam, a covert operative who finds himself on the run from the CIA and must be brought in by his former mentor L.T. Bonham (Tommy Lee Jones). While there are numerous firearms are featured, the film is particularly notable for its depiction of knife fighting. The movie finished primary filming in the first half of 2001, however the events of 9/11 delayed the release of many 'military' or 'terrorism' themed motion pictures until the public sentiment was deemed ready. The film was scheduled for release in 2002 but its release date was pushed out to March 2003.
The following weapons were used in the film The Hunted:
Hewitt (Mark Pellegrino) uses his Heckler & Koch USP Pistol (9x19mm) when transporting Aaron Hallam (Benicio del Toro), however he loses the pistol when Hallam forces a van crash.
FBI Special Agent in Charge Harry Van Zandt (Ron Canada) carries what appears to be a Kimber Warrior handgun.

This is probably a Springfield Professional 1911 as built under contract for the FBI HRT. The weapon in these frames do not have light rails.
SIG-Sauer P226
Aaron Hallam during a covert Operation in Kosovo carries what is most likely a SIG-Sauer P226 suppressed pistol with an extended magazine in his holster. It remains holstered for the complete mission and is only identifiable by it's grips.

What appears to be standard AK-47s or Type 56 rifles are also used. They are identified by their wider front sight, flat sided front foregrip and downward slope of their buttstocks - 7.62x39mm
Serbian soldiers use AKMSU short assault rifles to massacre Albanian villagers during the Kosovo Battle. They should be using Crvena Zastava M92s which is the Yugo AKMSU, however, these appear to be armorer build ups using Krinkov parts. The movie weapons would be identical to AK74U Krinkovs if it weren't for the 7.62x39mm magazines.

Assassin Powell (Rex Linn) impersonating a deer hunter uses a Remington 700 BDL (chambered for 30.06) with iron sights and a 'high tech' scope, that appears to be a Night Vision or Thermal Imaging scope, but the view through the reticle appears like any other magnification scope.

Winchester Model 70
Assassin Richards (Eddie Velez) impersonating a deer hunter uses a Winchester Model 70 with a 'high tech' scope, that appears to be a Night Vision or Thermal Imaging scope, but the view through the reticle appears like any other magnification scope. --- The rifle isn't a Sako 85 or a Sako of any kind. Sako-rifles don't have a controlled feed action like this rifle, based on the fact that the full length extractor is visible. The bolt shroud and the forward sling attachment differ from Sakos. Also the recoil bolts in the stock are in the same plane in a Sako unlike in this rifle. I'm guessing the rifle is a Winchester of some sort. --
What appears to be .308 chambered Ruger Model 77 bolt-action rifle with scop is used by Portland SWAT to snipe at Hallam on the bridge. This is a Ruger M77 with the now discontinued "boat paddle" stock.
