Like Season 1, Season 3 or Archer kicked off in September along with its FX stablemate It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, only this time with a three-parter that picked up right where the second season left off. The rest of the season 3 episodes would not air until January of 2012.

Sterling Archer's primary sidearm is a Walther PPK. According to a DVD special feature and the companion book How to Archer: The Ultimate Guide to Espionage and Style and Women and Also Cocktails Ever Written, his PPK is chambered in .32 ACP.

The "M41 Mark 2 Plasma Pulse Rifle" is used by ISIS and mutineers in the two part episode "Space Race". It has an underbarrel concussion grenade launcher. It bears some resemblance to the M41A Pulse Rifle.
