The weapon has a high rate of fire, and its high-velocity rounds rip right through walls and shred enemies. However, the blazing rate of fire forces Max to ditch the weapon for a fresh gun quickly. Judging by the name, firing effects, and the fact it seems to fire semi-normal ammunition, it is probably a combination of normal rifle firing caseless rounds with electromagnetic rails to increase velocity.
