Deadly Encounter (1982)

Deadly Encounter is a 1982 TV film starring Larry Hagman as helicopter pilot Sam who gets embroiled in a conflict involving his former girlfriend Chris (Susan Anspach), who stole several million dollars from a ruthless drug dealer named Zervasco (Michael C. Gwynne). Known primarily for its multiple stunts involving helicopters and biplanes.

The blonde-haired leader who rides in the helicopter used by Zervasco's henchmen uses an M1911 pistol throughout the film. He uses it in several chase sequences.

The gunman who rides in Zervasco's Gazelle helicopter carries an M16. He uses it to fire at Sam and Chris on the ground.
