Gintama (2006 - ongoing)


Gintama is an science-fiction comedy anime television series about a Samurai, Gintoki Sakata, who runs an all service enterprise (they do anything for money). The story takes place in a fictional Edo (ancient name for Tokyo) 20 years after aliens called the Amanto invaded Japan during the isolation of Japan.

The FAMAS bullpup assault rifle is seen held by many police guards of Bakufu (shogunate) when escorting a "serial killer prisoner member of the rebels". Historically, the real shogunate's elite troops (Denshutai) were equipped and trained by the French military.
