Nice, but where's the trigger?

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is a 2006 sandbox/action adventure game. It is a prequel to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and is available only for the PS2 and PSP.

The weapons used in this videogame are:

Handguns

Beretta 92

The original Beretta 92 is the standard pistol in the game. Holds 17 rounds but in reality it holds 15 and is called the "Pistol". Carried by the VCPD, National Guard Soldiers, and most gangsters.

Beretta 92FS Inox

Vic uses an Beretta 92FS Inox version to threaten Umberto Robina when they first meet. Vic's Brother Lance also holds an Inox version when he arrives on the building where Vic killed Jerry Martinez and Diego Mendez. It never appears in gameplay.

Colt Python

The Colt Python returns as the "Equalizer" Usually kills with one shot and has an 8-inch barrel and a non-functional scope. One of the villains, Armando Mendez, notably uses one to shoot the Domestibot controlled by Vic after it destroys the bearer bonds in his safe. Lance uses a scopeless one to threaten Bryan Forbes when its revealed that Forbes is a cop.

Shotguns

Browning Over and Under Shotgun

The Browning Over and Under Shotgun in the game can be found in police cars and incorrectly functions like a pump shotgun. All gun shop owners use this.

Mossberg 500

A sawed off Mossberg 500 is called the "Stubby Shotgun", has a wider shotspread, but a shorter range.

Sub-Machine Guns

Skorpion Vz.61

The Skorpion Vz.61 has slow rate of fire and same damege of the Uzi and the Beretta 92, kills with 5 shots.

MAC-10

The MAC-10 as high rate of fire and suppressor that doesn't actually silence anything, but is slightly more quiet than the Uzi or the Scorpion.

IMI Uzi

"MP5"

Carried by the FBI and Gang members. A strange amalgamation of MP5 parts; it has the collapsible stock of the MP5A3, the shorter barrel and vertical foregrip of the MP5K, the foregrip is undersized giving the appearance of the smooth forearm with a catch at the end as seen on the SP89, and the muzzle almost appears to be an attempt at an MP5SD suppressor. (It extends past the forearm, but is thicker than a barrel should be.)

Assault Rifles

AK-47

The AK-47 is carried by some gangsters. Good stopping power and accuracy. During the final battle, the main villain of the game, Jerry Martinez, carries one, and another villain, Diego Mendez, also uses one during this battle.

XM16E1

Carried by National Guardsmen. Great accuracy and stopping power. In one mission, Lance Vance incorrectly refers to it as an M4. It has an incorrect ammo capacity of 30 rounds, but is modeled with a 20 round magazine. While the M16A2 was developed in the early 80s, the US Army (who occupies Fort Baxter) didn't adopt it until 1988, four years after the game's events, so the use of the XM16E1 is (relatively) accurate.

Rifles

M21 Rifle

The [[[M21]] is the first sniper rifle the player will most likely encounter in the game. Has good damage, but functions incorrectly as a bolt-action rifle.

SVD Dragunov

The SVD Dragunov is most powerful semi-automatic sniper rifle in the game. Comes with a 7 round magazine while the real Dragunov carries 10, and a laser magnifying scope (Which is more accurate in the long run). Can destroy a car with a whole magazine.

Machine Guns

M249E1 SAW

The M249E1 SAW is called the "SAW" in the game, it is powerful and holds many rounds. Phil Cassidy is seen using one on a firing range when he first meets Vic. It is only used once in the game in the mission "Farewell to Arms". It is used by Vic to shoot gang members, who are attacking Gonzalez's men, from a helicopter and only found in one place in the game: the movie studio (unless you shoot all 99 red balloons in the game, then it spawns at every safe house).

The It has a 500 round capacity and a very high firing speed. The reloading speed is unrealistically short!

Other

M72 LAW

The M72 LAW is modified with a pistol grip and reloading capabilities, it is used by Vic to destroy several antennae being used by the DEA to listen in on Vic and Lance. A group of thugs sent to intimidate Vic and Lance use one to destroy Lance's car in one level.

M230 Chain Gun

Vice City Stories features a version of the Hughes AH-64 Apache, known as the "Hunter." It has an M230 Chain Gun in a chin mount, and wing mounts containing eight AGM-114 Hellfire missiles in two packs of four, as well as two non-functional Hydra 70 rocket pods. Used in the final two missions when Vic steals it from the army base and then shoots up the Mendez building in the final battle. It can be found in the east entrance of the airport. When you enter it, you can do the mission "Skywolf". You can also use this for vigilante missions. The chaingun cannot be fired.
