Looper The Brothers Bloom Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as Joe, a hitman who is known in the year 2044 as a "Looper", a specialist in killing people sent via time machine from 2074. Joe's world begins to fall apart when he recognizes one of his victims as his older self (Bruce Willis ) and allows him to escape.

Shotguns "Blunderbuss" Shotgun The main weapon used by Loopers in the film is a futuristic shotgun dubbed the "Blunderbuss". The pump action firearm is fitted with a futuristic barrel sheath. It bears a close resemblance to the 18th Century firearm it takes its name from. The weapon is mentioned by Kid Blue to be short-ranged, capable only of hitting targets 15 paces away, but unlike a real Blunderbuss, it is capable of firing multiple rounds.

Prop Master James Kroning mentions in an IGN video that the rear sight was removed to provide better balance when spinning the pistol and to facilitate fanning of the revolver.
