Talk:Conflict / War.: World War II
May I ask what's this page doing here? IMFDB is not a general military history database, it's a Movie Firearms database. Such page is at odds with the goals of the project. Greg-Z (talk) 11:08, 17 January 2013 (EST)
In that case, why are these pages.:List of firearms used by Australian Defence Forces, List of firearms used by British Armed Forces, List of firearms used by German Armed Forces. Thanks to my side of the weapon can be identified with the historical period (Movies and war games). List of weapons the country did not make, and no one bothering them.--MTOOO (talk) 11:20, 17 January 2013 (EST)
- For the record, I'm against those pages as well. Next time, I suggest asking the admins. --Funkychinaman (talk) 11:25, 17 January 2013 (EST)
Why would someone know what you shoot with the Americans or the British. More important is the classification for the sake era weapons. Segregate weapons because most conflicts would be a good idea.--MTOOO (talk) 12:15, 17 January 2013 (EST)
- Because that's not what our role is. When we've covered firearms use in every film, TV show, anime or video game ever made, then we'll talk about expanding our purview. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:20, 17 January 2013 (EST)
If you say so. to explain why the list of weapons used by the state? This is completely unrelated to the categories of the page.--MTOOO (talk) 12:41, 17 January 2013 (EST)
- If I could delete every one of those, I would. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:43, 17 January 2013 (EST)
- Like Funky, I've also been against these lists of State-used military weapons, but you're misinterpreting reasoning behind them which I do think is valid. They aren't a catalog of used/issued weapons just to be a catalog of used/issued weapons, they were created as an aid to identifying and working out if a weapon used in a film, TV show, or video game by a given State force is anachronistic or inaccurate. I'm unsure exactly what this page contained, but if Funky deemed it deletion worthy, I trust his judgment because none of the admins here go around deleting pages willy-nilly because they want to.
