21 Jump Street Johnny Depp -starring television series of the same name starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum , with Brie Larson, Dave Franco , Rob Riggle and Ice Cube . Unlike the original series, this was more of a comedy, and was the first live-action film directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs .) Contrary to popular belief, the film is not a remake or a reimagining, but is rather a continuation of the original series, which allowed Johnny Depp , Peter DeLuise and Holly Robinson Peete to briefly reprise their roles from the original series.
