Redacted is a 2007 American war film written and directed by Brian De Palma. Although it is fictional, it is loosely based on the 2006 Mahmudiyah killings, in which a group of U.S. Army soldiers gang-raped a 14-year-old Iraqi girl. The film received mixed reactions from critics and a poor financial response in its very limited release.
