Set your screenshots to "Auto"

Your screenshots for Highlander looked squished (everybody looks thinner), which means your video player's "aspect ratio" is set wrong. Make sure it's set to "Auto" or "16:9" if widescreen. Also, I guess you used your talk page as a template for the Highlander page, but you should reserve the space for discussion. --Ben41 09:50, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Outlander

It was your sugesstion about holstered pistol being Heckler & Koch VP70? Interesting idea, but trigger and many other details not quite the same... Maybe it's just a fictional pistol which combines elements of both this gun and Jericho 941? --Kloga 00:23, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

American Gangster

I wouldn't consider one screencap that big of a deal. I consider a page to be incomplete when more than half of the weapons used don't have screencaps. But I'll try to get a screeencap added. --Jcordell 15:14, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

RahXephon

Please note that the rules state that fullscreen (4:3 Aspect Ratio) screencaps are set at 500px not 600 px. Thanks! :) MoviePropMaster2008 05:20, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

In A Moonlit Night

Done. Also noticed sad mistake second 'di' was misspeled as 'de'. Thanks. --Kloga 13:34, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Deacons For Defense

Thank you for your help. This is my first page build, and I obviously needed some help. I appreciate it.--Westernman1987 17:53, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Too much stuff already. Don't think we really need it Excalibur01 03:45, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Try at most a week. Sometimes people forget. It took me a full 2 days to get my latest SWAT Firefight page done Excalibur01 06:45, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

RE Degeneration

Sorry, I've been too busy to post the images you capped of the Glock 17s. When you get editing control back, please take time to do it yourself. Excalibur01 09:34, 6 March 2011 (MSK)

The Missing (2003)

thanks for fixing it. I kept trying to work on it and none of my changes would take or at least half of the time they wouldn't take. I finally quit in disgust and walked away. I knew eventually somebody would come along and correct it. I really don't like this new server/software. I know it had to be done, but boy oh boy. --Jcordell 00:33, 14 March 2011 (MSK)

THat does seem to work. thanks.--Jcordell 08:31, 17 March 2011 (CDT)

Suomi

Ok. Got it. I just wondered why the Suomi was put under the PPSh-41 category, since as you know its two different weapons from two different countries.

Re: 2nd Gig Page

I admit I overlooked the existing bit about the Jigabachi on that page and for that I apologize, though I still believe that weapon is not an M134, the main reason being that it is too large; a full-size M134 is about 3 feet long at most (including barrels and attached machinery), whereas that weapon appears to have a barrel length alone of approximately 6 feet, and a much larger muzzle diameter than 7.62mm. If you can provide some info such as art book diagrams or the like to support it being a Minigun, that's fine, but in the meantime I'm going to say that it's intended to be a Vulcan. Orca1 9904 22:14, 26 March 2011 (CDT)

Again, I apologize for stepping on your toes, it was a simple oversight. I edited it the right way this time (and see that you tidied it up a bit as well). Orca1 9904 05:05, 27 March 2011 (CDT)
Sorry about that, got a bit impulsive there. It's in the episode where Batou's undercover investigating the former Olympic boxer, just before the episode where Aramaki is taken hostage in London. Orca1 9904 03:29, 3 April 2011 (CDT)
I spotted another weapon not listed on the page for Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig;in the episode where the JSDF initiates air attacks against Deijima and the Section 4 Rangers are deployed in pursuit of Section 9, a Phalanx CIWS turret can be seen on one of the JMSDF helicopter carriers when Section 4 is boarding their helicopter. The Sum of All Fears game

Hi! Thanks for moving the page to "Sum of All Fears, The (VG)" a couple of days ago. It was my 1st page to start with "The" so I completely forgot how should I name it correctly... :D Thank You, again. bozitojugg3rn4ut 06:54, 3 April 2011 (CDT)

Alarm Fur Cobra

Actually that anonymous user is correct. That is NOT a standard AK-47. Despite having an old school receiver, it definitely has an AK-74 Style gas block and either a 5.45 or a 5.56 magazine, NOT a 7.62x39mm mag. Also did you notice how the sling goes through a hole in the buttstock ala K98 Mauser style? VERY German thing to do. This is some sort of German Franken gun for sure :) MoviePropMaster2008 00:55, 1 May 2011 (CDT)

"Please leave comments on discussion pages (that's what they're there for) instead of putting them in the actual page (that just looks tacky),"

Sorry didn't mean to offend. If you are talking about what I think you are, well I thought it was something interesting little detail they missed.

"and don't be lazy, make corrections when you see them instead of telling others to do it for you."

I wasn't aware that I was telling someone to do something for me, I thought I was just answering a question. If you are saying that I should have put a photo of a Vektor there, well I have absolutely no idea how to do such a thing. Sorry.

Thanks, I wondered how people did that. Somehow I missed it, I'm still learning how to do these things. I tend to be a bit of a Luddite. --Krel 20:36, 5 May 2011 (CDT)

Ruckus (1981)

Thanks for changing the formatting on Ruckus (1981), but I had a left a note for User talk:Mark in tx, hoping that he would learn how to properly fix this. --Ben41 19:20, 7 May 2011 (CDT)

Thank you for your help on Ruckus, I had to get some sleep and came back to a lot of editing done to it. Thank you. --Mark in tx 21:32, 7 May 2011 (CDT)

Browning .22 Semi Auto misnamed I think. I checked browning's website and the BL-22 is a Lever Action .22, the semi auto .22 is called just that Semi Auto .22 though with differing grades I'm adding the link to brownings website. I don't know if it will show though.

CZ85

Congrats on your gun. As it is now, please don't replace the older one just yet. I haven't visited that page in a long time and realized that I have to replace a lot of the jacked images with licensed ones from Motion picture armories (those take priority over other original images purely because they are movie guns). Thanks for the heads up. I will let you know if I cannot upload an appropriate movie inventory gun image in a timely manner, so that we can use yours. best regards MoviePropMaster2008 14:38, 10 July 2011 (CDT)

thanks for the heads up

But.... why in the hell did you post the note smack dab in the middle of my obviously insanely massive user talk page? It was nearly impossible to find. ALWAYS put new messages at the bottom of the page. Don't just insert them randomly into the admittedly massive amount of messages and expect me to find it (at least easily) :D Thanks again. MoviePropMaster2008 01:40, 18 August 2011 (CDT)

Films with dates

These particular films were posted with the dates because some films have generic enough titles that some might mistake them for something else. Please don't change them. --Ben41 23:33, 18 August 2011 (CDT)

Edit from the top then

You have a crap wireless connection! :D LOL. But I shouldn't have to modify my page just because your connection is so bad. I feel for ya man! Just edit at the TOP from now on. Any more 'hidden' requests in the center of the talk page will be ignored (or not found, which is more likely). MoviePropMaster2008 00:43, 19 August 2011 (CDT)

About Mamoru Oshii's works

I've a few questions about this director since it seems like you're a fan.

Oshii's own like for German weaponry is a bit schizophrenic; the MG42 and STG44 are WWII weapons, but the C96 is a WWI weapon (the Germans had moved onto the Luger and its 9x19mm round by WWII). Was Oshii so enamoured of the DL-44 Blastech pistol from Star Wars that he decided to incorporate the C96 as the signature pistol of the Panzer Cops? It's clear he cribbed the "Vader breathing" sound effect from Star Wars for Stray Dog. Of course, that says nothing about the Galil rifles in Jin-Roh, made from a people who would no longer exist had the Axis won WWII.

Why isn't there a Category for Mamoru Oshii's work on this wiki? And will you make a page for Tachigui-Retsuden soon? Despite its cutout animation style (in the same vein as Angela Anaconda or South Park) it still features some guns.

You should make a Category for Mamoru Oshii's work on this wiki. You see the "gas mask with red lenses" aesthetic everywhere now, from Killzone to Dawn of War 2. --Mazryonh 23:08, 9 September 2011 (CDT)

Wikipedia images

Be careful of uploading Wikipedia's images as-is, they tend to be uselessly huge (that one was over a megabyte). Resize them to something sensible before proceeding. Evil Tim 02:48, 24 October 2011 (CDT)

RE: Nadia

Sorry it just looked like one from the view. LOL.-The Gunslinger 3 11:40, 19 November 2011 (CST)

Directors

Yes. Usually it's two tier. THREE films if the films are considered 'gun heavy'. So if a director made Inception, Hard Boiled and Taken, then three is standard time for him to get a director page. The unofficial tally is a bit higher if the gun usage is incidental. Case in point The Family Man. Bret Ratner did the film. The gun usage is very incidental. But since he did X-Men: Final Stand, all the Rush Hour movies, Tower Heist, and Red Dragon, he deserves a director spot. So I guess the short answer is: it depends. But the 'trend' has always been three films for exceptional gun usage, at least five if the director cannot be considered a 'gun director' (aka action, war, crime, espionage, etc.). We don't want to list directors who only do Romance or Drama or comedies that have very little gun usage. Hope this helps. Also we try to hold off doing the director page until his/her filmography is almost complete on IMFDB. Thus he/she will have a page with tons of finished movie pages under their belt. :) MoviePropMaster2008 22:19, 1 February 2012 (CST)

Don't get all butt hurt and defensive

the warning was in the discussions. PLUS in the future, if a page looks like it won't qualify (and Japanese shows are notorious for NEVER having live guns traditionally, so they are already suspect, whether fairly or unfairly) don't LEAVE the page unfinished looking like an unqualified page. Many others here make sure when they take a break from a page, that they don't leave a page looking like it does not qualify. I myself have HELD OFF uploading my page until I had enough material to make sure on the first pass that it looked kosher. If you don't want to get warned, then wait until you get all the material you need. MoviePropMaster2008 14:11, 2 May 2012 (CDT)

Unidentified guns

Please be aware that the "Unidentified" template should only be used for guns that you believe someone could reasonably identify, NOT for guns that are "unidentifiable" due to not enough screen time, insufficient size or lack of focus, or in non-live-action media being too generic to positively identify as a specific model. --Zackmann08 14:21, 15 July 2012 (CDT)

Description of the screens under the title.

I see. I had no idea. I thought that the title is a description for multiple screens at once, but where there is only one screen, the description gives in him. Thanks for the advice.--Pandolfini (talk) 15:38, 20 September 2012 (EDT).

RE: Mobile Fighter G Gundam

Yeah. But does it count as a placeholder until an actual screen cap pops up?-The Gunslinger 3 (talk) 12:55, 16 October 2012 (EDT)

G Gundam project

Since the show is on your "to watch list" I'm almost prepared to re-create the article again. Just need the screencaps and I need to rev watch the eps again.-The Gunslinger 3 (talk) 22:05, 18 October 2012 (EDT)

I didn't say let's do it now, I'd rather take the time of doing it rather than showing up empty handed. As I said, I need to re-watch every ep from scratch. And I go to my public library for the high speed internet they have. So...take your time. I'd actually appreciate the work unlike the one I did before.-The Gunslinger 3 (talk) 00:27, 19 October 2012 (EDT)
