Wow, is that the actual name? They could've gone with Model 1 Mark 2, or Model 1-A, but they went with a fraction? --Funkychinaman 12:29, 24 August 2012 (CDT)

I originally thought it was called this because it was a pocket revolver based on the Smith & Wesson Model 1 so was half of it. Don't think this is the case though as there was already a model 1 1/2 chambered in .32 rimfire in the "tip up" series which was half way between the Smith & Wesson Model 1 and the Smith & Wesson Model 2. I think this Model 1 1/2 is essentially the top break replacement for that tip up one. To add to the confusion there is also a double action version of this revolver, and a safety hammerless version which are all the Model 1 1/2. --commando552 12:49, 24 August 2012 (CDT)
