Die Abenteuer des Werner Holt (1965).

The Adventures of Werner Holt (Die Abenteuer des Werner Holt) is a 1965 East German war movie directed by Joachim Kunert and based on the eponymous novel by Dieter Noll. The story takes place in 1944-45 in Germany and on the Eastern front. The disasters of war are seen through the eyes of a young German lad Werner Holt (Klaus-Peter Thiele) who served on an anti-aircraft battery, then in the anti-partisan detachment and at last in the frontline.

The following weapons are seen in the movie The Adventures of Werner Holt (Die Abenteuer des Werner Holt):

Pistols

Luger P08

A Luger P08 is seen when Gilbert Wolzow (Manfred Karge) and Werner Holt (Klaus-Peter Thiele) study Wolzow's deceased father's belongings. Wolzow uses this pistol to threaten his old foe Meissner, who became an officer. During the war scenes many officers and petty officers are armed with P08 pistols (though it is more correct for the officers to have P38s).
