In the opening scene this combat shotgun is described as "weapon of future", capable to fire not only shots, but also flechette rounds, high explosive rounds, rifle grenades and many other types of projectiles. In 1984 when the movie was filmed SPAS-12 really had a futuristic view. For some reason the English poster shows a different shotgun; SPAS-12 can be seen on French poster (see Trivia section on the page).
