Baa Baa Black Sheep was a World War II television series that aired from 1976-1978 on NBC and was inspired by the exploits of Marine fighter ace Greg "Pappy" Boyington. The series starred Robert Conrad as Boyington as he led a group of misfit Marine fighter pilots who came to be known as the "Black Sheep". The show also went under the name "Black Sheep Squadron".
The following weapons were used in the series Baa Baa Black Sheep:
The M1 Carbine is also a frequent weapon carried by Marines in the series. As with the majority of productions at the time, the Carbine used is of the Korean War era.
The Arisaka Type 99 rifle was one of the main battle rifles used by the Japanese Army in the Pacific theater and is seen used throughout the series. Pappy and some of the Black Sheep are seen with them during the episode "Up for Grabs", when their island is taken over by Japanese forces disguised as Marines.
Several Marines are seen carrying or firing the M1928A1 Thompson in the series. In "Best Three Out of Five", Pappy and his men are armed with Thompsons while on a mission to rescue a downed pilot.
The main sidearm of Japanese forces on the series is the Nambu Type 14 Pistol. A Nambu is most notably seen carried by the Japanese officer who threatens Boyington in Season 1's "Up for Grabs".

The Browning M2HB heavy machine gun is seen on 214's airfield in machine gun nests. Pappy is seen firing it during an air raid. Sgt. Micklin (Red West) also uses it in different episodes.
The Browning M2 Aircraft appears as the primary armament of the Black Sheeps' F4U Corsair fighters, mounted in groups of three in each wing for a total of six.
Japanese forces are also seen using the Nambu Type 92 Heavy Machine Gun in several episodes, sometimes fired from machine gun nests and sometimes mounted on armored vehicles.
Type 89 "Knee Mortar" (technically grenade launchers) are used by Japanese forces in various episodes.
