Death to Smoochy is a 2002 black comedy starring Robin Williams , Edward Norton , Danny DeVito , Catherine Keener and Jon Stewart, directed by Danny DeVito. The film tanked at the box office, making back less than twenty percent of its budget and earning Robin Williams a Razzie nomination for Worst Supporting Actor. The film was the second of three "dark" films released by Williams within a space of four months in 2002, between One Hour Photo and Insomnia , though this is easily the most light-hearted of the three.
