Unknown handgun and other things

I'm pretty sure the pistol used by Chaibat's man is a Bernadelli. You also forgot the HK21 mg used by the General's men in the sandbag emplacement. In addition, I believe one of the drug dealers had a Steyr MPi69 smg during the firefight inside the building.--Phillb36 23:37, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

I agree, that looks like a Steyr MPi69 (although it must be difficult to cock without the sling, so maybe the MPi81?). Also it looks like it's missing a magazine. Jimmoy 11:15, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Unknowns

Unknown Rocket Launcher

Used by one of Chaibat's gang member during the base assault.

hmm

Anyone else think it's so weird to see Jackie Chan using all those guns?? --AdAstra2009 22:53, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

I've always thought it was kinda cool to see Jackie Chan armed with a gun instead of just his body. I mean, it's kinda silly to see Jackie run around those scenes without a gun. Excalibur01 03:14, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

I remember I went to see both this and First Strike in theaters when they had their US releases, and I'm embarrassed to say I don't remember a thing about the plots. Were they that forgettable? --funkychinaman 05:12, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

I've seen both films and many, many of Jackie Chan's other films as well and I have to say that it seems like certain films are memorable and the bulk of the rest kind of run together with me only being able to recall certain aspects of the movies. -Anonymous
I remember him dangling from a helicopter in Supercop and snowboarding over a hovering helicopter in First Strike. (And a scene on a real Kilo-class sub in First Strike.) And that's about it. Everything else is a blur of bad dialogue and comically well choreographed fight scenes. --funkychinaman 05:35, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
I find all of Jackie Chan's films to be enjoyable and worth watching for good action, comedy, and fight choreography, I just find them extremely difficult to differentiate from one another. -Anonymous

Can someone who knows more about them than me take a look at the LaFrance M16K, as I am pretty sure that it is misidentified. Surely if it was a genuine LaFrance, it would have the front site built into the carrying handle rather than on the barrel, and have the tapered mini A1 type hand guard. If I had to guess I would say that this gun is something like a chopped down Colt Carbine using a regular length hand guard with a slot cut in it to accommodate the front sight in a further back position, as I think there is some evidence of modification on the top with the heat shield being visible. AM probably wrong about that, but am fairly sure it isn't a genuine LaFrance. --Commando552 01:46, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

That's what I was thinking too for a while, but someone changed it and I differed to that guy because I knew little about AR-15 guns at the time Excalibur01 04:11, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

I believe later-model LaFrance M16Ks were built with the round hand guard and the more conventional triangular front sight post (all of our pictures are of earlier-model M16Ks). Also, this page seriously needs to be improved, format-wise. -MT2008 05:11, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
In this link there is a photo of a late model one: http://www.nazarian.no/wep.asp?id=396&group_id=5&country_id=97&lang=0. However, on other photos I've seen which I annoyingly can't find right now, it shows that the actual handguard is made from flat tubular metal with a strip of texturing around the middle with no slot for the front sight, it is seemingly welded to the tube which also fits flush against the receiver. In this photo that is covered with the canvas barrel shroud. The gun in question though seems to be using a modded Colt Carbine type hand guard made of ridged plastic with a slot cut in the top. --Commando552 10:49, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
