Monster (2004-2005) is a 74-episode anime series based on Naoki Urasawa's manga of the same name. The story follows Dr. Kenzo Tenma, a brilliant neurosurgeon who discovered that the young boy named Johan who he saved years ago has turn into a criminal mastermind behind several murders. As he tries to track down Johan himself, he is also trying to evade the police, particularly an obsessive BKA inspector who believes Tenma is the true perpetrator. The story takes place across various parts of Germany and Czech Republic.
The following weapons were used in the anime television series Monster:
Tenma uses the Beretta 92FS as his main sidearm which he favored during his firearms training. Johan, Milan and a neo-Nazi member are seen using Beretta 92Fs.
Walther PPK
Nina uses the Walther PPK as her main sidearm. BKA Inspector Lunge carries two Walther PPKs (instead of the Walther P5 and PP in the manga), one in an ankle holster as a backup weapon. German police officers are also seen with Walther PPKs. Various other major and minor characters are seen with Walther PPK.
SIG Sauer P228
Roberto uses a SIG Sauer P228 as his main sidearm. He later gives a spare one to Eva. Tenma comes into possession of Roberto's P228 and used it at the Munich University library. One is also seen lying on a table during Tenma's firearms training.
COP 357 Derringer
Nina uses the COP 357 Derringer as a backup weapon which she later gives to Muller.
Steyr GB
Grimmer takes Detective Suk's Steyr GB to defend the both of them. Seen also in the hands of the Czech police and former StB agents.
CZ 75
Czech police and former StB agents are seen with the "Pre-B" CZ 75 pistols as their main sidearm. Tenma comes into possession of one which becomes his main sidearm in the later half of the series. Johan is also seen using a "First Model" CZ 75.
Heckler & Koch P7M13
Martin is given a Heckler & Koch P7M13 for a job. Eva purchases a P7 for herself later in the series.
Walther P99
A Ruhenheim townsman purchases a Walther P99 for protection. Grimmer later takes it to defend the townspeople. Franz Bonaparta uses it when he confront Johan.
Browning Hi-Power
Roberto's thugs use Browning Hi-Power pistols. Nina picks one up from a dead thug and uses it as well.
Tokarev TT-33
A Tokarev TT-33 is seen lying on a table during Tenma's firearms training. A variety of TT-33s are distributed to the Ruhenheim townspeople and seen in use by various minor characters.
Beretta 93R
One of Čapek's thugs used a Beretta 93R when trying to eliminate Eva.
The Walther P38 is seen in the flashback of a former German Kriminalpolizei.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5K
Several Heckler & Koch MP5K submachine guns are used by neo-Nazis and terrorists.
IMI Uzi / MP2A1
Several German police officers are armed with MP2A1 submachine guns when escorting the prisoners onto the transport van.
Rifles
Norinco Type 56
A Norinco Type 56 is seen in the flashback of Herr Bernhard.
M1 Carbine
A Ruhenheim townsman purchases a M1 Carbine for protection. Inspector Lunge borrows the Carbine soon after.
Mauser SR-93
Tenma purchases a Mauser SR-93 from the underground for an assassination. The gun runner states that the rifle failed the German Army selection (presumably the G22 trial) and it is chambered for .338 Lapua rounds.
Sako TRG-21
Herr Rosso's flashback reveals a Sako TRG-21 for an assassination. A former StB agent also used a TRG-21 against Grimmer and Detective Suk.
