New Police Story
New Police Story is the 2004 "reboot" of Jackie Chan's Police Story movie franchise. Also released under the international title "Xin jing cha gu shi", this film has a more serious action tone than the comedic turns of the previous four films.
The following firearms were used in the film New Police Story:
Glock 17
The Glock 17 is shown as the primary side arm of the Hong Kong Police CIB teams. Jackie also takes one at the end of the movie to compete with Joe one last time in who can assemble their guns the fastest. We see both the 2nd and 3rd generations in this movie
Glock 18
Joe's sidearm throughout the film is the Glock 18.
Heckler & Koch MP5A2/A3
The Heckler & Koch MP5A3 are used by the SDU Team during their raid on the Convention center (Tactical Lights and Laser Devices are seen attached to their weapons). Is seen once briefly in the hands of one of the CIB team members during the opening gun fight. One of the gang members in the first bank robbery used an MP5 with tri-rails and a foregrip.
Heckler & Koch G3 SG1
The gangleader in opening heist carries what appears to be a Heckler & Koch G3SG/1 equipped with a scope. In some scenes, the rifle appears to be a Tokyo Marui airsoft replica.
Heckler & Koch HK51
What appears to be a scoped Heckler & Koch HK51 is seen used by Joe at the convention center. The H&K 51 is the shortest variant of the G3 produced.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
The Smith & Wesson Model 10 is seen in hands of HKPF uniformed officers in the opening street shootout as well as at the convention center.
Custom AR-15
What appears to be a custom version of the AR-15 is seen being used by Sue Chow in the opening shootout. The rifle is fitted with an ACOG scope and two magazines clamped together. From one shot, it definitely looks like someone took the upper receiver of a flat top M4 and gave it a shorter barrel (or installed an upper from an SBR such as the Colt RO933) and slapped it onto a lower receiver with a solid stock. Conversely, it is also possible that it started out as a SBR, and the collapsible stock assembly was replaced with a fixed stock assembly.
M4A1
What appears to be an M4A1 (or replica) is seen on the convention center floor.
Bushmaster M17S
Bushmaster M17S bullpup assault rifles used by Tin Tin Law and "Fire" during the opening gun battle.
Ruger AC556F
Is seen used by "Fire" during the Convention Center gun battle
L85A2
During the opening shooting scene, we see one of the gang members with this rifle.
- That appears to be an airsoft SA80 in the screen grab. What gives it away is the specific color of the green hand guard and the fact that the charging handle and bolt appear to be black plastic. All of the real SA80s have matte stainless bolts and charging handles (except for the upgraded versions where they place that green plastic upward 'leaf' handle). Does this rifle fire in the film? - Nope, it didn't fire in the film, so I figured it was a prop since this movie was made in Hong Kong and I don't know if they would have been able to get their hands on a real SA80 Excalibur01 19:48, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
We also got some continuity error since in the shootout scene in the streets, this was quickly changed to a Bushmaster M17S, most likely for shooting purpose. Excalibur01 12:10, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Smith & Wesson 5906
Seen in the hands of the man in the opening scene. Another model with a square trigger gaurd is used by the leader of the criminal gang.
Beretta 92FS
Toward the beginning of the film, a hostage is forced to hold a Beretta 92FS on police officers while acting as a human shield.
Unknown Pocket Pistol
In the initial robbery, the female gang member draws an unknown stainless pocket pistol on two police officers.
Remington 870
One of Jackie's team member had this shotgun during the op that went south fast. It had a surefire attached to it.
