Southland is a police drama from executive producer John Wells (The West Wing) that follows the lives of several police officers within the ranks of the Los Angeles Police Department. The show originally ran for 1 season on NBC, and currently is airing new episodes on the TNT Network.

Several LAPD officers and detectives carry the Beretta 92FS as their sidearm, including Detective Sammy Bryant (Shawn Hatosy), Detective Daniel "Sal" Salinger (Michael McGrady), Detective Nate Moretta (Kevin Alejandro), Officer Billy Dewey (C. Thomas Howell), Detective Russell Clarke (Tom Everett Scott), and a number of other officers. This weapon is on the LAPD approved carry list. Also used by at least one of the sheriff's deputies in episode 4. This weapon is also on the Sheriff's Department approved carry list. One of the gangbangers in the first few episodes of Season 2 also uses a Beretta.
Taurus PT99
A gang member uses a Taurus PT99 in Season 1's "Derailed" (S1E07).
Smith & Wesson 5906
Officer John Cooper (Michael Cudlitz) carries a Smith & Wesson 5906 (as evidenced by its double stack frame) as his duty sidearm. This weapon is on the LAPD approved carry list.
Glock 22
Officer Ben Sherman (Ben McKenzie) carries a Glock 22 as his sidearm. This weapon is standard issue to all LAPD probationary officers. Upon completion of probation, they may choose to switch to another weapon on the approved carry list, or they can stay with the Glock. Officer Chickie Brown (Arija Bareikis) also uses a Glock 22 as her sidearm, although her weapon is fitted with a Surefire X-300 tactical light. Detective Ray Suarez (Clifton Collins, Jr.) can also be seen using a Glock 22 in episode 11.
Heckler & Koch USP (Two-tone)
A gang member uses a two tone Heckler & Koch USP to shoot a non-gang affiliated black kid.
Heckler & Koch USP
One of the Sheriff's deputies in episode 4 is seen drawing a Heckler & Koch USP. The correct model would be the .45 ACP version, as that is the only USP on the Sheriff's Department approved carry list.
Smith & Wesson Model 60
In the pilot episode "Unknown Trouble" (S1E01), a Hispanic gang member uses a Smith & Wesson Model 60 in a shooting. The same gang member uses it to shoot Dewey later on in the episode. In Season 2's "U-Boat" (S2E03), Chickie and John arrest a man on the street for possession of a concealed handgun. The S&W Model 60 is one of the handguns Chickie confiscates from the suspect.
Jericho 941
A third gang member uses a Jericho 941 in the shooting in the pilot episode.
Sphinx AT380
A gang member is seen throwing a Sphinx AT380 Pistol into the MacArthur Park lake in Episode 2 of Season 2.
Smith & Wesson 3913
Detective Adams (Regina King) uses a Smith & Wesson 3913 as her duty gun. She gives it to the witness she is protecting in Season 1's "Derailed" (S1E07).
Smith & Wesson 6906
Officer Chickie Brown (Arija Bareikis) uses an early model Smith & Wesson 6906 (notice low, non-novak rear sights, as well as the "hooked" trigger guard) as her off-duty gun, which she notably uses to arrest the Canyon Rapist in Season 2's "Maximum Deployment" (S2E06).
Raven Arms MP-25
A woman pulls what appears to be a Raven Arms MP-25 compact pistol on actor Timmy Davis (Tom Sizemore) in Season 1's "See the Woman" (S1E03). One is also seen in the intro sequence.
Compact Pistol
In Season 2's "U-Boat" (S2E03), Chickie misses a small compact pistol in a street thug's ankle holster. Cooper finds it during a more thorough pat-down.
Desert Eagle Mark XIX
A gold-plated Desert Eagle Mark XIX can be seen on the bed in the house of some Latino hitmen in Season 2's "The Runner" (S2E04).
Colt M1911A1
Detective Sammy Bryant (Shawn Hatosy) confiscates a Colt M1911A1 from a teenager in Season 2's "The Runner" (S2E04). A cartel hitman uses a gold plated M1911A1 in Season 2's "Phase Three" (S2E01).
Colt Detective Special
In Season 3's "Code 4" (S3E04), Ben finds a Colt Detective Special revolver in a restaurant owner's possession.
Smith & Wesson Model 19
The grieving father in episode 11 carries a Smith & Wesson Model 19 when he goes to kill his daughter's murderer. Detectives Adams and Suarez confiscate it from him when he is arrested.
Several LAPD officers are seen using Remington 870 shotguns, once seen equipped with tactical lights in episode 1. They are often seen in the shotgun racks of the police cars. This is the standard shotgun for all LAPD personnel. Detective Clarke notably uses one loaded with beanbag ammo in episode 2. Detective Adams (Regina King) also carries one during a raid.
Winchester Model 1300 "Defender"
Detective Adams keeps a Winchester Model 1300 "Defender" in a safe in her home. She uses it to shoot the gang members trying to kill a witness in her home in Season 1's "Derailed" (S01E07). It is identified as a Winchester by the magazine cap.
Benelli M3 Super 90
At least one SWAT officer uses a Benelli M3 Super 90 in episode 12. It has a weaponlight, and spare shell holders.
Assault Rifles
M4 Carbine
LAPD SWAT officers are armed with M4 Carbines during the raid on a gang member's arms dealing warehouse in Season 1's "Two Gangs" (S01E05). The gang's warehouse is also seen stocked with M4's. The SWAT officers' M4's are equipped with SureFire tactical lights and Aimpoint red dot sights. They are seen again the hands of SWAT officers in Season 2's "What Makes Sammy Run?" (S02E06).

Officer Dewey (C. Thomas Howell) uses an AKM in Season 1's "See the Woman" (S1E03).

In Season 3's "Failure Drill" (S3E09), a gunman is seen shooting up a building with an M16A2 fitted with a ACOG scope.

A gang member can be seen with a MAC-10 as he flees Detective Adams' house in Season 1's "Derailed" (S1E07).
Several SWAT officers use Heckler & Koch MP5A2s in episode 12. They are fitted with weapon light forends.
Machine Guns
M60E3
Officer Dewey (C. Thomas Howell) uses an M60E3 in Season 1's "See the Woman" (S1E03). When asked how he could own a class-3 firearm, Timmy Davis says the props guy converted it from a semi automatic to fully automatic.
FN MAG
An FN MAG (most likely a substitute for the M240 machine gun) is briefly seen during the raid on a gang leader's residence in Season 1's "Two Gangs" (S01E05).
