In mid levels, the SVD Dragunov obtains an extended magazine, granting 10 extra rounds. At its full development, it gets equipped with an early ( possibly anachronistic ) night vision scope, better suited for night-time operations.

GE M134 Minigun

GP-25
Can be mounted on the AK-47.

RPG-7
The RPG-7 also makes an appearance in the game. It is obtained by the player and used by the enemies near the end of the game.It is one of the launchers of the game that can be unlocked. It also has a PGO-7 scope attached to it for accurate aimming.Like in most MGS games it is always used by Snake.
M72 LAW
Single-shot disposable anti-tank rocket launcher. You'll occasionally use this in cutscenes, where you'll get a good representation of the launcher's flip-up sights. With each upgrade, the LAW will get a firepower boost, along with a different color scheme, except for the last and final upgrade where it becomes longer, still retaining the black paint job.
FIM-43 Redeye
A predecessor to the FIM-92 Stinger. Being an early version of it, its lock-on computer is weaker and takes a considerable time to lock-on targets. Can be dumb-fired or fired after locking on. Lock-on works on both air and ground targets.
M202A1
Carl Gustav M2
Can be modified to fire 84mm shells packed with Fulton Recovery Devices in lieu of standard 84mm HE rounds. Longer reload time than the other single-shot rocket launchers since the spent casing needs to be removed before a new shell can be loaded. Another variation, painted yellow, fires HEAT ( High Explosive Anti Tank ) rounds, doing slightly less damage but over a much wider radius.
X-FIM-92 Stinger
The prototype version of the FIM-92 Stinger, as it is known today. How this weapon exists in 1974 is a mystery and purely anachronical. Its warhead is slightly more powerful, along with the lock-on computer, taking slightly more than one second to lock. Once fired, the missile behaves exactly like the FIM-43's.
