WORK IN PROGRESS

Operation Flashpoint: Red River is the sequel to Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising, still revolves around a fictional conflict between the United States Marine Corps and the People's Liberation Army of China. This time, the storyline takes place in the year 2013, where the United States Marine Corps is sent to Tajikistan to deal with a civil war. While fighting against Tajikistani insurgents, the PLA have arrived and threatening the U.S. to leave the country, but the U.S. refuses and starting to fight against the PLA too.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River release date is April 21st for UK, Europe and Asia, June 7 for North America.


Pistols

M-45 MEUSOC

In the first developer diary video, A Marine is seen firing a M-45 MEUSOC at a Tajikistan insurgent. In the third and newest dveloper diary video, the player is using the M-45 MEUSOC while clearing a house with it.

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP5A4

It's been confirmed by the official web sight that the MP5 in-game is MP5A4. It can be seen used by the player in some gameplay footage and also on developer's diary videos. The MP5A4 is attached with flashlight and Aimpoint M68 CCO.

Colt M4A1 Carbine

The M4A1 Carbine is one of the main weapons the Marines use, attached with iron sights, Aimpoint M68 CCO, Trijicon TA31RCO ACOG scope, EOTech 556 Holographic sight, AN/PEQ-2 laser designator, SureFire Universal WeaponLight and M203A1 grenade launcher.

M4A1 in the hands of SSgt. Knox. Throughout the gameplay footage, Sergeant Knox is one of the few marines who uses a M4A1 with iron sights rather with optical sight.

Colt M16A4 Rifle

The M16A4 rifle is the standard issue weapon of the Marines, can be seen attached with iron sights, Aimpoint M68 CCO, Trijicon TA31RCO ACOG scope, SureFire Universal WeaponLight and M203A2 grenade launcher. For some reason, the in-game model of the M16A4 has the standard M16A2 handguard, rather than the KAC M5 railing system like the USMC use in real life.

Norinco QBZ-95

The Norinco QBZ-95 is the standard issue weapon of the PLA, attached with underbarrel Type 91 grenade launcher.

Kalashnikov AK-47 variant

An unknown AK-47 variant is most likely the primary weapon of the Tajikistai insurgents.

Machine Guns

M249-E2 SAW

The M249-E2 SAW is the standard issue light machine gun of the Marines, seen attached with iron sights, Aimpoint M68 CCO, EOTech 556 Holographic Sight, SureFire Universal WeaponLight and AN/PEQ-2 laser sight. The M249 is also the main weapon of the Auto-Rifleman class, and used by Cpl. Ryan Balletto as seen in the gameplay video of Fireteam Outlaw 2 Bravo.

A modernized version of the PKM, the PKP Pecheneg Light Machine Gun is used by Takistani insurgent.

Sniper Rifles

M14 Designated Marksman Rifle

The M14 Designated Marksman Rifle is seen only in use by one of the protagonists, attached with: Trijicon TA31RCO-A4CP ACOG, TS-30.xx series Leupold Mark 4 day scope, AN/PEQ-2 laser designator and Harris S-L bipod.

M39 Enhanced Marksman Rifle

The M39 Enhanced Marksman Rifle will be one of the Scout's weapons. It is fitted with a TS-30.xx series Leupold Mark 4 day scope same as the M14 DMR, AN/PEQ-2 TPIAL laser designator, and an optional KAC M4/M16 QDSS-NT4 Suppressor.

M39 Enhanced Marksman Rifle with Harris bipod - 7.62x51mm NATO.

Barrett M107

The Barrett M107 is one of the available sniper rifles in-game used by the United States Marine Corps. The rifle is called "Model M107 SN" in-game. It is unknown if the M107 has any attachments available to it, as it is only been seen from its scope like the picture below.

Benelli M4 Super 90

The Benelli M4 Super 90 can be seen used by few Marines in gameplay screenshots. it is also seen being used in developer diary #2.

Mk 153 Mod 0 SMAW

The Mk 153 Mod 0 SMAW is carried by various Marines. Could be the standard missile launcher.

The Browning M2HB is mounted on M1A1 Abrams MBTs and on M1114 Humvees, also used by some Marines as static.
