Around what time were the issues with .45 pistol conversion resolved and they stopped using this gun as a stand in?

How to diffrentiate from a .45 1911 ?

Is it possible to tell them apart just by looking at a side-profile ? Personally I felt the Star looks a bit slimmer overall. Also what is the standard magazine capacity for a 9mm 1911 ? I recently installed GTA San Andreas again and want to change the stats for the standard 9mm pistol which looks like a 1911 but has the stats of Glock 17. --Devang.dn 04:35, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Ok got it from worldguns.ru : First, these pistols had no automated grip safety, and no detachable backstrap/mainspring housing. Second, Star pistols had simplified trigger/sear design with single trigger link, and pivoting trigger. Third, external safety swiths locked the hammer, not the sear. Fourth, Star pistols featured exetrnal extractors. Fifth, as noted above, Star A Super and B Super also had different barrel locking/unlocking. --Devang.dn 04:35, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
