Limited release
Gardens of Stone was released in the Spring of 1987 to just 612 theaters across the United States. I was a freshman at Boise State University that spring and saw it in the local theater in Boise. I guess the movie enjoyed a fairly wide release in Idaho becasue Idaho is known to be a politically and socially conservative state. How else can you explain such a wide release for a barely released movie in a state that had just over one million residents in 1987? --Jcordell 18:01, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
