It isn't just Hollywood

So others besides Hollywood like to do "cover" versions of foreign films. Good to know. And that's funny. Commando. Really? --Jcordell 02:15, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

And sometimes even shot-in-shot. I really like original Commando and I also like basic idea of films being remade (especially unofficially in other genres like Yojimbo) so this was kind of guilty pleasure (so bad it's good equvivalent) to me. :) --Kloga 17:54, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

It seems that this is a Shameless COPY not a remake

When did Russian filmmakers become like Bollywood filmmakers. Come on now! SHOT PER SHOT rip off? It's not an homage or remake. It becomes merely a copy not a remake. IMHO. Still I need to check it out to see how close the two films are.

Chill out man! Your daughter is fine! note how even the blonde wood furniture and wood wall panels is copied as well as kid photographs on the walls.

Bollywood remakes also so-bad-it's-good. I remember 1999 movie Sangharsh - just imagine The Silence of the Lambs only with songs and religion... By the way, most of the russians were also laughing at Day D and watching it as a comedy. :) --Kloga 21:42, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

To save MPM2008 the trouble of having to find a copy of the film, here's a shot for shot comparison of the trailers --Markit 05:14, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
