The China Syndrome is a 1979 thriller starring Jack Lemmon as a desperate supervisor of a nuclear power plant who tries to expose its dangers by taking a news reporter hostage. The film was released just 12 days before the infamous Three Mile Island nuclear power plant accident.

The original M16, the first version, firing in a 20-round magazine, adopted in large numbers by the U.S. Army in Vietnam. This has the original 3-prong flash hider. It would later be replaced by the upgraded M16A1 - 5.56mm
