To End All Wars
To End All Wars is a 2001 World War II film based on a true story and starring Robert Carlyle and Kiefer Sutherland as Allied P.O.W.'s who are forced by the Japanese Army to build the infamous Burma Railway while enduring harsh treatment at the hands of their captors.

The men of the Allergy and Sutherland Highlanders march with the Lee-Enfield No.1 MkIII* in the film's beginning.
M1 Carbine
An American Paratrooper carries an M1 Carbine during the liberation of the POW Camp.
M1928A1 Thompson
Most of the Paratroopers during the liberation use the M1928A1 Thompson.
Mk 2 Hand Grenade
The Paratrooper Captain (Robert Lee) can be seen with a Mk 2 Hand Grenade on his webbing.
Japanese Weapons
Arisaka Type 38
The main weapon of Japanese soldiers and guards in the film is the Arisaka Type 38.
Type 26 Revolver
Sgt. Ito (Sakae Kimura), one of the guards, and Lt. Colonel Nagatomo (Shû Nakajima) use a Imperial Japanese Type 26 revolver as their sidearm rather then the more common Nambu Type 14. The Type 26 Revolver was the first modern handgun issued to the Japanese Imperial forces and was the sidearm issued just before Hirohito's ascension to the throne.
