Norinco Type 56
The Norinco Type 56 is the weapon of choice of the Vietnames troops, many of which featture "pig-sticker" underfolding bayonets. They are noted as Norincos based on their hooded front sight and milled steel recievers. Towards the end of the film, both Sgt. Robert Barnes (Tom Berenger ) and Pvt. Chris Taylor (Charlie Sheen ) are seen using these rifles, picked up from dead Vietnames soldiers.
