The film depicts Lawrence of Arabia while he was serving in the British Army in WWI, he was an officer so he would have been issued a Webley. --AdAstra2009 18:26, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Actually, officers of that era bought their own sidearm and used whatever they liked, provided it chambered issue ammunition. Lawrence carried a variety of pistols, including a Mauser Broomhandle he sold in 1909, and in 1914 he bought a 1911, that he mentions in several letters to his brother.

He was actually robbed and the theif took his SAA so that he could shoot Lawrence, but the thief didn't know how to use a single action revolver so he just left-S&Wshooter 20:47, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

Whippet ? Was this name ever attached to the Rolls-Royce armoured car? I've only ever known it to be associated - unofficially, but quite widely - with the British Medium Tank Mark A, because it could achieve the high (for a tank) speed of 8 miles per hour. IKD
