Good Message

I like the way this film deals with Vince Vaughn's character owning a gun. He is portrayed as an average guy, not a criminal or stupid redneck like most civilian gun owners in movies, who owns a handgun (the most evil machine ever invented according to many in Hollywood) who stores it in a very responsible manner for someone with small children in the house, and is only seen taking it out when he believes there is an intruder who is threatening his family. Far too many films and television shows only portray gun owners (especially handgun owners) as police, criminal, or stupid hicks. While subtle, I like the way this film breaks that stereotype. -Anonymous
