Colt Agent - .38 Special. "Economy" version of the Colt Cobra, nearly identical visually, except the Agent was made of lighter alloys. More Current production models of the Agent had a ejector shroud along with other various finishes.

The Colt Cobra is a snubnose revolver, and is a lighter version of the Colt Detective Special. It holds 6 rounds, and is made for .22 LR, .32 NEW POLICE, NOT .32 ACP WHICH IS A RIMLESS AUTOMATIC CARTRIDGE or .38 Special ammunition. Weighing only 15 oz, the Colt Cobra was preferred by detectives and policeman over the competing Smith & Wesson revolvers at the time. The Colt Cobra is today considered one of the most reliable handguns ever made (just behind the Colt Python and Colt Peacemaker). While production of this revolver has stopped, it is still highly prized for its light weight and reliability.

The Colt Agent is a cheaper version of the Colt Cobra. The Agent has a lighter alloy frame then the Cobra, and costs much less. The Colt Agent could only use a .38 caliber bullet and always comes fitted with a 2 inch barrel.
