New York is a 2009 Bollywood Hindi film. This film is about three students studying at the fictional New York State University whose lives are changed by 9/11. This film is directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. Following firearms were seen in this film.

M4 Carbine

A New York Police Department SWAT member aims an Colt M4 carbine with a S.I.R.S. rail system. The firearm appears to be an airsoft version, being that the lower receiver is pristine and the receiver pins are not flush but extended, like the pins on the guns of such major Airsoft companies as Classic Army, Tokyo Marui, G&G, etc.

M16A2 Rifle with A1 handguards

In an interesting twist, we see M16 (or AR15) rifles which begin as standard A2 variants, with A1 style triangular handguards. The barrels are obviously the heavy A2 barrels and the upper receiver has the adjustable rear sight of the A2 and the brass deflector. This is also an Airsoft weapon, judging by the receiver pins, which are protruding (like most Airsoft M16 variants) versus flush like the real firearm.

Heckler & Koch USP Compact

In a scene, Sam or Samir Sheikh (John Abraham) along with his Allies gather in a place near the Brooklyn bridge. Omar was with Sam at that time. Sam took the gun (Heckler & Koch USP Compact) out of Yaqubs pocket and asked Omar to shoot Yaqub who violated their trust.

This is actually the 8mm theatrical blank replica version of the USP Compact as made in Spain. The giveaway is the small gas release hole at the top of the barrel, which allows the blast to escape through the top of the gun, since these are 'blocked barreled' weapons.

damn the budget for this film must have been REALLY low cause a Remington 770 is A. NOT the rifle of choice for the F.B.I. and B. not really the best rifle out there....it's more of a package deal rifle for someone who is just getting started in hunting
