Raw Deal (1986)

The following weapons appear in the movie Raw Deal:

Heckler & Koch HK94

In the climax of the film, Mark Kaminsky (Arnold Schwarzenegger) goes to his hotel room and unpacks an arsenal of weapons hidden in a storage bag for his suit. One of the weapons is a Heckler & Koch HK94 semi-automatic carbine, the civilian version of the famous MP5. His gun is the A3 model, which has a collapsible stock, as well as a ventilated barrel shroud, and a vertical fore grip mounted just to the front and slightly below the main sight. When he carries out his assault at the mine and later on Patrovita's hideout, the weapon is fired on full-auto, suggesting that it was converted (likely with a drop-in auto sear) for the film.

Schwarzenegger is also seen brandishing this same weapon (or perhaps another, identical weapon) on the poster for the movie, seen above, albeit with no magazine loaded in the gun. A notable goof is that the weapon has the "slimline"-type forearm when Kaminsky is seen loading it in his hotel room, but for the rest of the film, it has the "tropical" or "wide"-type forearm.

Smith & Wesson Model 29

One of the other weapons which Kaminsky has in his suit storage bag is a .44 Magnum Smith & Wesson Model 29 revolver with a 6" barrel, much like that used in many of the Dirty Harry movies. Most notably, he uses the weapon to kill the driver of a huge off-road dump truck who is trying to run him down while he's holed up in a trailer.

Actually, the gun used by Arnold is not a S&W 29, but a Dan Wesson revolver

Cellini-Dunn SM-9???

Another of the weapons in Kaminsky's arsenal is a very compact machine pistol that has an extremely high rate of fire. This gun appears to be a Cellini-Dunn SM-9, but it obviously lacks the forward grip in front. Could it be something else? Feel free to edit this entry if so.

As done loads of times, It may be a 'modified' one for the movie to look like a different weapon. The Armourer may have thought a front grip on such a small SMG is pointless and the SM-9 would be ideal as a clandestine PDW. The muzzle my have been installed not much for vanity but to reduce barrel climb so it can be handled without the front grip. It reminds me very much of the British MCEM 1 machine carbine.

Unknown model shotgun

The last weapon in Kaminsky's weapons cache is a short-barreled, pistol-gripped shotgun of unknown make and model (Winchester? I really don't know.) This is the gun he uses to finish off Patrovita.

M16

Among the weapons used throughout the film by the mobsters are very early M16 assault rifles - so early that they lack the forward assist and have the old-style three-pronged flash hiders.

CAR-15

The mobsters are also frequently seen using some type of CAR-15 variation that might be a GAU-5/A, or (more likely) some civilian AR15 type modified to look like them. I'm not sure which one they are exactly.

(Fake) Uzi

The mobsters are also seen wielding submachine guns that might appear at first to be Uzis (some with fixed wooden buttstocks, others with folding stocks). However, a close-inspection of the receivers reveals that they are actually MAC-10s that have been visually modified to look like Uzis, fitted with Uzi barrels, front and rear sights, forward grips, and stocks. These exact same prop weapons also appear in several other Hollywood movies, including The Dogs of War and Stripes.

M14????

Another mobster is seen sniping with a semi-automatic rifle fitted with a suppressor and scope. This is either a military M14, or (more likely) a Springfield Armory M1A, the semi-automatic civilian version of the M14. It could also be an M21 DMR, but this is not certain, either.

Various unknown revolvers

All of the handguns which appear in Raw Deal are revolvers, and I'm sorry to say that I don't know a whole lot about revolvers (if you're my age, they're just inherently less interesting than the high-capacity semi-autos that have been featured in action movies since the late-80s). So, here are lots of screenshots showing off the various wheel guns seen in the movie. Feel free to identify them and sort them out.

I remember reading an article in "Combat handguns", written by Jerry Ahern, when the movie was first released, where he mentioned that a Charter Arms Bulldog was used in the movie, but I am not able to identify it in these pics. BTW, as I mentioned above, Ahern confirmed that the revolver used by Schwarzenegger was a Dan Wesson, not a S&W model 29.
