- Forgive my ignorance, but aren't the Maxim 1910/30 and 'M1910' Maxim (shown on the page) both the same gun? StanTheMan 23:03, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
-- *sigh* Sry I do not know the different versions, but only from the pictures you can see that there were changes at the shield, the "bolt handle", the sights, etc. I guess they are both the same gun, the 1910/30 is probably the updated version from 1930. I guess you can say the same for the Nagant rifles 1891 and 91/30. Please forgive me my ignorance ;-). [[User:Paul_Baeumer|Paul_Baeumer] 28 May 2010
- - 1910/30 only refers to .30 caliber and 1910 adoption I believe, though I can't be absolutely certain. Researching it, it seems the actual gun name/title is PM M1910. It was originally adopted in 1905, they changed it slightly in 1910 and standardized on it. There was change on it in 1930 that I'm aware of, unlike the Mosin-Nagant rifle - They didn't make any change to the gun itself from 1910, outside of installing a large water-filler sometime in WWII. My point is both of the guns seem to be exactly the same, and thus are redundant. I honestly can't see any of your so-called 'changes', outside of the (slightly) different shield design.
