Mad Max
The following guns were used in the film Mad Max:
Mauser C96 'Broomhandle'
Bubba Zanetti (Geoff Parry) briefly uses a Mauser C96 to shoot a sex doll when the other bikers are messing around at the beach.
Smith & Wesson Model 28
The MFP carry Smith & Wesson Model 28 as their standard issue. Although they are rarely drawn and seen mostly in their holsters. Bubba is seen firing one at Max near the end of the film.
When Max puts on the "Grumpy" mask when his wife is mad that he is going in to work early because Goose wants him to, their baby is seen on the living room floor, apparently playing with Max's revolver.
Double Barrel Shotguns
Maybe a Savage/Stevens 311A Shotgun - 12 Gauge. First seen by an eager MFP patrol man Roop (Steve Millichamp) when he tries to shoot the Night Rider in the films opening. Another is used by Johnny (Tim Burns) to shoot a sex doll when the bikers are at the beach. Max also keeps one of these weapons close by after he resigns from MPF and goes traveling with his wife and child.
Late in the movie, May Swaisey (Sheila Florance) the old woman that Max and family are staying with uses this gun to corner Toecutter's biker thugs into a shed. Could be a Charles Parker 1878 side by side.
Sawn Off Double barrel shotgun
Max's (Mel Gibson) main weapon in the movie, and possibly a Savage/Stevens 311A Shotgun. When battling against the Biker Gang, Max for some odd reason makes an effort to reach this shotgun when his leg is damaged but armed with a S&W 29 and doesn't even use it when he can(Anyone else notice this?). [Perhaps he figured that a moving target would be easier to hit with an "area weapon" like a shotgun?]
Maybe he Didn't have any .357 or .38 rounds for his S&W after leaving MFP and just took it with him for luck, as I assume he could have got some shotgun shells from the woman who provided max with shelter, or are easier to obtain. --ConditionNone 21:28, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
Winchester Model 12
Max carries a Winchester Model 1912 when he and Jim Goose inspect the aftermath of the attacked couple. It appears to be a long bareled sporting version.
Winchester Model 70
Roop (Steve Millichamp) uses the scope on a Winchester Model 70 to spy on a couple having sex during the film's opening.
