Is it really fair to call this a cult film? It's not as well known as Red Dragon, but it was made by Michael Mann during the height of Miami Vice's popularity. --Funkychinaman 18:48, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- Cult film is NOT THE POPULAR AND WELL KNOWN film, it's usually film, that was a flop, but became enjoyable classic for some people. The "Manhunter" was a film of that kind. It get its cult status even before The Silence of the Lambs, and get the bigger one, when it was discovered later by Hannibal Lecter series fans. --Kloga 19:10, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Unknown Handgun
An unknown pistol is seen stuffed in Jack Crawford's (Dennis Farina) pants. He never uses this pistol in the film. However, it is very unprofessional for a cop to have his gun stuffed in his pants like he did, perhaps Dennis Farina should have brushed up on his cop skills (as he was a Chicago police officer for 18 years) before doing this.
