Smith & Wesson Model 10
Officer Eddie ((Richard Gere)) carries a smith and wesson model 10 as his main sidearm throughout the film. You can see it holstered while he is on patrol. You can also see Gere use his model in the movies final scene. This shows that he is a cop of the past in a fast changing world. Gere carries the sidearm unloaded while on duty for unknown reasons until near the final scene of the movie when he is seen loading it.
