Weapon on Poster
The gun in the hands of JCVD, is that actually in the movie as a franken-gun or is it photoshopped? I havent seen the movie and there are no caps up yet. --Mythekal
Guns used appear to be Bulgarian Arsenal AR's, some of which are mocked up as M16A3's, as seen in Day of the Dead. Just before NGU attacks UniSol 2, 2 is shown with an M16/A1. Captain Burke has a suppressed AUG when doing his recon.
I'm not sure on any of the pistols, especially Van Damme's auto pistol. But Commander Topoff's pistol might be a Makarov.
Can't make screens since official release isn't until Febuary 2. --Crazycrankle 18:34, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
- YEs. Those AK Franken guns that are mocked up to look like M16 variants appear ALL THE TIME. Just watch those 'Sci Fi Channel original movies" Manticore, Monster Ark, (as mentioned before Day of the Dead (2008), Raptor Island, etc. etc. I hate those guns. I figure armorers in Bulgaria should be able to get M16 variants, I mean the commercial ones are for sale all over the world. MoviePropMaster2008 22:45, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

Actually, I'd describe Van Damme's Rifle as an "M16A4 with an Ak47 Clip". This is what I've seen in the actual movie, not what's on the Poster. -- 81.129.205.171
There are a few clear shots when he first picks up the rifle. It is obviously not an M16, or any other variant of the design. While it may not be the Arsenal AR, it is some kind of AK variant mocked up as an M16. Since it was filmed in Bulgaria, it's safe to assume that it is a Bulgarian model. As I said above, I can't make screens until a legit copy is released, but I guarantee you, and everyone here, that it is not an M16. Also, it's a magazine, not a clip. --Crazycrankle 20:48, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Anyone wanna comment on an SR-47? Maybe how it IS or ISN'T whats on the poster.
- No, it's not an SR-47. There's only about 5 or 6 SR-47s in existence, as it never went into full production. One is in KAC's possession, while the rest went to USSOCOM and are likely to never be seen again. Spartan198 21:38, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
- Only seven SR-47s exist. Six went to USSOCOM and one was retained in the KAC museum. Spartan198 00:10, 3 February 2010 (
Correct me if i'm wrong, but did'nt chernobyl meltdown already? what would be the point in "blowing up" chernobyl. Would more radiation spread? i don't understand, but every time I see the preview for this movie i laugh.
Reactor four melted down, from what I understand the first three still remain. With much of their original material still intact. Detonation just one of them could create similar fallout as the original incident in 1986. --Crazycrankle 16:16, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
Beretta M93R
I think the Machine Pistol 'was' a Beretta M93R.
I noticed the Beretta's Trigger Guard on the pistol during the Shooting Range sequence.

Even if it's a Beretta mocked up as something else, the 93R's barrel is longer.
It could be a Glock 18? Rex095
- It's definitely not a Beretta 93R or Glock 18 because the barrel is too short. It would be physically impossible to fit either of those guns into a frame that size. It's something else, but I'm not sure what. I haven't seen anything like that made in Bulgaria, but I would guess it's gotta be some type of Eastern European-made weapon that is little-known in the West. -MT2008 17:28, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
I found this: http://www.fsdip.com/website/VBRBelgiumHome/English/ThePDW792VBRBCompact/tabid/190/Default.aspx Not the same but might inspiration (or like the pdws in stealth). Hope helps.
I think this might be blank firing Zoraki 925 - looks fairly similar to me and would make sense in the "low-cost" means of the movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exNcXJAmNLo I havent seen the movie though, so I may be wrong as of the sound; which could be digitally edited/remastered on the other side --Cover72 21:49, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hmmm, you might be right. It is certainly possible. And yes, the sound of machine pistol bursts could have been added in post-production. Good suggestion. -MT2008 22:10, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, thats definatly it. well done. guess i was wrong about the 93r :(
Unisol GR13 (Dolph Lundgren)
I seem to remember GR13 being fed into a combine at the end of the first movie and promptly cut to shreds... Spartan198 21:42, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
Its a clone...(with all memories and skills intact *rolls eyes*)Ranger01 23:35, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, that's real original, only been done 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times as of yet. Spartan198 00:10, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
Yea, Dolph Lundgren actually said that the only reason he was in it was for memories of the old times and the fun.Ranger01 02:07, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
About them screenshots..
I have the DVD and I'm gonna watch it today. If no one else is able to provide acreencaps, I'd be happy to... User:Warejaws 08:59, 3 February 2010.
Your welcome to do it. --Crazycrankle 09:12, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
The AK variants
Anybody know if the one in the third picture could be a Norinco 56?.. Warejaws 10:22, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
- No. Look at the front sight, it's open. The front sight on the 56 is hooded. Spartan198 03:19, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
- It's probably one of the earlier Bulgarian-made AK-47 copies. Bulgaria has been producing AKs since the 1950s, and the versions they used to produce based on the Type 3 AK-47 were called the AKK and AKKS. It was only years later that they started producing the AR series with synthetic furniture. Since it seems that Bulgarian movie armorers have difficulty acquiring weapons made outside of their country, I would guess that the older-model AKs used by the terrorists are also of Bulgarian manufacture. -MT2008 17:25, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
The shotgun
It definitely is a Mossberg 500 Cruiser... Warejaws 14:56, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
The LMG
I added the RPK section and put up a screenshot... Warejaws 16:58, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
