Collateral
The following guns were used in the film Collateral
Heckler & Koch USP
Vincent carries a H&K USP in .45 ACP which we see him draw and fire several times. Of particular note for this film is that Cruise, as Vincent, fires the first five rounds of his "briefcase" scene attack with deliberate aim against two targets in less than one and a half seconds. This results in obvious physical, but also dramatic and cinematic, impact as it demonstrates that Vincent's degree of skill and focus is clearly on a different level than that of the armed street thugs he encounters.
Cruise trained on LAPD premises, and in combat scenarios, with live ammunition to increase his competency with a pistol, according to Michael Mann's DVD commentary. Cruise did not have live ammunition experience with a pistol prior to shooting "Collateral".
Ruger MkII
Vincent (Tom Cruise) assassinates Daniel (Barry Shabaka Henley) with a suppressed Ruger MkII .22LR rimfire pistol.
Smith & Wesson 4046
Detective Fanning (Mark Ruffalo) draws the first gun we see, a Smith & Wesson 4046 in .40 S&W. The S&W 4046 is not standard issue for the LAPD, but it is a common handgun in the hands of police and security forces around the United States.
Smith & Wesson 5906
Vincent lifts a Smith and Wesson 5906 from the desk guard he kills at the Federal building and hunts down his final target, Annie (Jada Pinkett Smith).
Steyr SPP
We see an SPPs in the hands of a bodyguard at club Fever. The Steyr Special Purpose Pistol is the civilian version of the Steyr TMP. The major concessions the civilian model makes are the removal of the fore grip and the lack of full-auto firing capability, but it is seen firing a full-auto burst in the film.
Heckler & Koch G36C
Paco (Emilio Rivera) carries a Heckler & Koch G36C with an Aimpoint red dot sight.
Glock 22
We briefly see an FBI special agent entering club Fever with his FBI issue Glock 22 at the ready. When a bodyguard notices the agent with his gun drawn he mistakes him for an assailant and draws and fires his own pistol.
Colt RO635 9mm
The Colt 9mm Submachine Gun is a lightweight, compact weapon encompassing the same straight line construction and design of the world renowned Colt M16 Rifle. This straight line construction, coupled with the low recoil associated with 9mm ammunition, provides highly accurate fire with less muzzle climb, especially in full automatic fire. Less recoil also facilitates ease of training and improves accuracy. Like the M4 Carbine and Commando models, the Colt 9mm SMG fires from closed bolt, is equipped with a 4-position sliding buttstock and is readily field stripped without the need of special tools. Operation and training are similar to that of the M4 Carbine and M16 Rifle eliminating the need for substantial cross training.
Ruger P95
A bodyguard draws and fires a Ruger P95 at the FBI special agents entering club Fever.
Beretta 92
An LAPD officer draws a Beretta 92 on Max (Jamie Foxx) after finding the body of Vincent's (Tom Cruise) first victim in the trunk of his crashed cab.
