In the finale of Season One, corrupt Sheriff Dumar Hardy frees himself from his handcuffs, pulls out a patrol officer's Beretta from its holster, kills him and nearly fires at Agent Lisbon before being killed by Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) with a shotgun.
In Season Two, Senior Special Agent Sam Bosco (Terry Kinney) uses the Beretta as his sidearm.
