Voevodin pistol (second variant) - 7.62x25mm Tokarev

The Voevodin pistol (Russian: Пистолет системы Воеводина (ПВ), "Pistol Voevodin (PV)"). On May 17, 1938, a competition was announced for the design of a new type of 7.62 mm semi-automatic pistol to arm military personnel of armored forces. The Voevodin pistol was the answer to this competition. The Voevodin (PV) system pistol is a Soviet self-loading pistol, planned for adoption by the USSR armed forces in place of the TT pistol. Developed by TsKB-14 (Tula) designer P.V. Voevodin. By the end of the war, from 500 to 1,500 weapons with different details were created. The weapon was constantly improved during this period. It was never put into series production. An interesting fact may be the fact that the chief weapons designer sent a sample of his gun as a gift to Stalin to convince him to mass produce it.
