RE: Dead Aim Revolver

In all honesty, this thing has me stumped. The trigger guard is rounded, enough so that it can't really be an MR-73 as suggested (the MR-73 has a flat-bottomed trigger guard; the in-game gun's trigger guard is one continuous curve); it doesn't have any screws or pins above the trigger guard, so it isn't a Colt; it has a small reinforcement just behind the cylinder, which eliminates more or less anything from Taurus as an option; if I had to call it something, I'd say it was an earlier-production (given the smaller reinforcement) S&W 629 or 686 (can't really discern scale) with a full-length underlug, a non-fluted cylinder, and rubber grips, but I can hardly call that more than a reasonable guess - the way the wider upper section of the trigger guard comes to a point at the front seems distinctive, but I can't find anything that matches it exactly, and the barrel's just plain weird - it seems like something along the lines of an S&W barrel with a full-length underlug, but it seems to have vents beneath the barrel, which is something that I don't think I've seen anywhere. I suppose it could be a custom job - it might have been referenced from a custom airsoft gun. I know fancy custom match-style airsoft handguns have been a thing in Japan for a while, so that could be the basis for this thing, but I'm honestly just speculating.

Sorry I couldn't give a more concrete answer. Sincerely, Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 21:09, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

Hi there. As I said I suck at identifying revolver (as my two suggestion were completely wrong) even more as the scene is blurry as hell and we don't get a clear shot of the gun, only parts.
Well I guess it will stay as unidentified, thanks for your answer. --Fox357mag (talk) 09:03, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
