R-92S - 12.3x22mmR

The R-92 is a compact revolver produced by KBP Instrument Design Bureau of Tula. It was intended as a conceal carry, instant readiness revolver for Russia's internal security forces. As the ammunition used in the R-92 are all rimmless cartridges, the rounds are loaded into a removable metal clip, which is then removed and replaced for reloading. The first revolvers had a barrel in the spirit of Smith & Wesson Model 36 / 38, but since 1993 it has been replaced by a massive one with a wide ledge underneath.
